The Camp Stewart Alumni Association
The Camp Stewart Alumni Association was formed in 2000 with the sole purpose of providing "camperships" to children and families who might not otherwise be able to attend summer camp. Families can apply for the limited "camperships," which cover up to 25% of their camp tuition. In response to the flooding that occurred on July 4, 2025, the Camp Stewart Alumni Association is now also assisting Camp Stewart and our sister camp, Heart O' the Hills, in their efforts to rebuild, with funds being allocated not only to camperships but also towards the purchase of equipment and supplies lost or damaged in the flooding, and repairs to valuable infrastructure.
As a foundation we recognize the numerous benefits of sending a child to camp. Not only does summer camp provide a fun, safe environment in which children can participate in any number of activities; summer camp can help a child develop important life skills that many former campers have felt made an immeasurable impact on their lives as adults. Decision making skills, time management skills, independence and self-reliance, and people skills all develop while children swim in the river, hike up and down wooded trails, participate in woodworking and ceramics classes, and most importantly, while having fun, meeting new friends, and making lifelong memories.

How can you help? The Camp Stewart Alumni Association depends on donors to help fund the "camperships:" the more donors we have, the more children we can assist. Donations can consist of a few dollars to sponsoring an entire term for a child - that is really up to you! If you would like to direct your funds to a specific effort (i.e. replacing camp supplies, equipment, or camperships) please send us a note through our Contact Us page.
